There are plenty of questions asked quite regularly so here's an overview about them including the apposite answers. If you shouldn't find what you are looking for, please don't hesitate to contact me of course.

General Information

How can I get in touch with you?

There are various ways to do this - you can either directly contact me via eMail, fill out the contact form or use a messenger by downloading my vCard.

Where can I see all projects?

For obvious reasons I couldn't publish all projects accomplished in the past right here. However, I also got a gallery at deviantart which is usually up to date and shows everything I did so you might want to have a look at in too.

Is it called indiqo or indigo? Why?

Even though many people write or say indigo it's actually called indiqo. It's a combination of my favorite color indigo blue and a style element originally used by a famous hard dance music event within the Netherlands I usually try to attend once a year.

Why butterflies?

Back in 2005 when I recently finished my alternative service in a retirement home I originally intended to study web and graphic design at a university, but after a couple of weeks I quickly noticed that it's definitely not what I've been looking for. To be even more specific, I was really disappointed by this course and decided to discontinue as soon as I could. During that time I also got the idea to try to work self-employed and so quickly started to create a visual identity. As soon as I found a suitable name, some kind of logo was still missing. Ones afternoon, it was a warm and sunny late summer day, I had a look out of my window and saw two butterflies chasing each other in the sunlight. This moment was absolutely perfect and since then I'm using two playful butterflies in my logo because it exactly represents my vision of a friendly and creative business which doesn't take itself too seriously all of the time but wants to offer a pleasant and joyful workflow aside good results of course.

Business Information

How long do you need to accomplish a project approximately?

Well, in the end it usually depends on the amount of work required to accomplish a project, but I usually try to finish each project in between 10-15 working days from the start.

How do your regular business hours look like?

I usually work from Monday till Friday between 8.00am - 5.00pm but often also later or on weekends. I'm quite flexible here.

Which payment methods do you accept?

I usually prefer PayPal, but a regular wire transfer is an option too.

What are your terms of payment?

Due to some rather bad experiences lately and to ensure everybody stays on track accordingly, I usually require 50% of the estimated price of a project as a deposit in advance and another 50% on completion.

Do you offer any discounts?

Actually yes - Starting this year, I offer a fixed discount of 10% for recurring clients. Furthermore there are special sale periods three times a year which offer an additional discount of 15% for anybody. Those sales are usually by the beginning and end of each year as well as on black friday.

Do you offer some kind of affiliate program?

Yes, that's true - I also offer an affiliate program so anybody who refers a new client to me and registered as an affiliate by filling out the contact form before will get 5% of the fee.

Additional Service Information

Which services are included by default?

Service is one of the most important aspects for any business in my opinion and so there are various additional services included for each project. By default you can rely on the following services among other things: 24h emergency eMail support, one hour of consulting in advance, friendly assistance if you should have any further questions even after the project has been accomplished, table-less xhtml valid source codes, basic browser compatibility testing, stock images required for the design as well as the layered PSD image source file. You mentioned a basic compatibility check - what does that mean?

I usually try to offer visually and technical appealing results and so by default I make sure that they work properly in the following browsers at least: Firefox 3, Safari 3, Opera 9 and Internet Explorer 6+. Furthermore, I also offer an enhanced compatibility test which includes the test and optimization for 20 different browsers and operating systems as well as a detailed compatibility report as proof.

Do you also offer regular backups and webmaster services?

Last year, the indiqo.care service has been launched successfully which was meant for these kind of jobs and ensures your site will run safely and smooth. Since then some things changed, I can't accept any new registrations currently and already work on an even more valuable solution which will be published by the middle of this year.
